Making the bridge from Advent

St. John Chrysostom, Bishop, Confessor and Doctor of the Church

The Christmas and Epiphany seasons are rich with many manifestations of the incarnation and glory of God in Christ and the fulfillment of Scripture. The Sunday lessons are plenty to consider, let alone the daily lessons. In both Sunday and daily readings the Gospels are primary. Looking at one Gospel reading alone there are hundreds of homilies and still there is one Lord Jesus Christ.

"Do not think that I am come to destroy the law or the prophets . . ."
